Hawaii

Hawaii was awesome! We had so much fun. Stu and I were in Hawaii for 10 days. 7 days in Maui and 3 in Oahu. Both islands were wonderful in their own way. My favorite was Maui though.

We had many activities planned, surfing, snorkeling, kayaking etc. I would have to say my favorite part was snorkeling. It was fun to see all the different fish and sea life.

The first day we were there we went to the Maui Aquarium. Sea Turtles, Jelly Fish and Sharks, oh my! This is me standing in a clear tube with a string ray floating above me.

We also went to a Luau. It was my first one. They say "try the poi", I say "never again".

Our second day we went on a 4-5 hour snorkeling trip. The fish were fun to see and at the very end we saw two bottle noised dolphins. They swam right in front of the boat. It was really cool.

The third day we went site seeing. We saw Dragon's Teeth, a blow hole, walked through Lahina and saw a very large Buddha. Yes, that is Stu taking on the blow hole.

My favorite holiday is the 4th of July. It doesn't hold a candle to Halloween, Thanksgiving or Christmas. We were in Hawaii for the 4th, so my mission was to see fireworks. On Maui there is only one place they can "legally" have fireworks and that is in Lahina. About a 35-45 minute drive from where we are staying. Stu was nice enough to take me there to see the fireworks shot out over the ocean. It was beautiful.

There is more to see like the Road to Hana and all of Oahu, but it is late, so stay tuned. :)
